About Yes 4 JCPS

When you vote this fall, make sure to vote YES for JCPS.

Louisville voters will decide whether to approve a 7-cent increase in the property tax rate – an extra $70 a year or 20 cents a day for every $100,000 of real estate value.

Voting YES on the ballot initiative will raise $54 million which will allow JCPS to improve resources for all students, especially those who have not gotten a fair share.

We must demand (and fund) a school system that will prepare every child in every neighborhood.
Business leaders understand and support investing in education, because they know the economy of Louisville depends on it.

We must invest in those communities that need it most and add resources for students with special needs.

Louisville is only as strong as its most struggling neighborhood.
All parents in all neighborhoods deserve options close to home. Currently, there is no middle school in West Louisville, for example.

SAFER, HEALTHIER CLASSROOMS

The disruptions caused by the pandemic mean it’s even more important to invest time and money into improving educational outcomes for our children.
Our students deserve safer, healthier buildings. We need to replace outdated electrical and ventilation systems and update safety features.
In and out of the classroom, students need the right tools. A laptop and internet access is more expensive than a #2 pencil!
Voting “Yes 4 JCPS” will improve existing buildings and sports fields by leveraging today’s dollars for long-term investments.

TEACHERS MAKE IT WORK!

Teachers are our frontline workers during the pandemic. They need the right tools for the job – and the needed tools are constantly changing.
High achieving students require high-achieving teachers.
Teachers have gone above and beyond this year. We must continue to recruit and support the men and women who are accountable for student performance.
